Privacy policy

Carein.one is operated by Switch Technologies Ltd. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and the rights people have over it.

Who we are

Switch Technologies Ltd provides the Carein.one care operations platform to UK care providers. For your organisation's care records we act as a data processor; your organisation remains the data controller. For your account, billing and support data we act as the controller.

What we collect

Account data: name, work email, role, organisation and sign-in metadata.

Operational care data entered by your team: care notes, medication records, visit check-ins, assessments, incidents and related documents.

Technical data: device and browser information, IP address and error logs used to keep the service secure and available.

Why we process it

To deliver the platform your organisation has subscribed to, to keep records auditable for regulatory purposes, to secure accounts, and to provide support. We do not sell personal data and we do not use care records for advertising.

Where data is stored

Care data is stored in UK and EU data centres with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is restricted by role and every record change is written to an audit trail.

Retention

Care records are retained for the period your organisation's retention policy requires, and deleted or returned on request when a subscription ends. Account and billing records are kept for six years to meet UK statutory requirements.

Your rights

People whose data appears in care records may request access, correction, restriction, objection or erasure. Requests about care records should go to the care provider holding them; we support providers in responding. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Questions about this page? Email hello@carein.one and we will respond within five working days. Switch Technologies Ltd is the data controller for carein.one account data and a data processor for care records held on behalf of your organisation.
